Meet Kate McGreal

REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST

Kate is a registered psychologist and the founder of HeartCare Psychology. â€‹She is trained in the area of clinical psychology and is currently completing the clinical registrar program. Kate works with women (18+) who have been diagnosed with a mental health condition, those who are adjusting to a difficult life transition or medical condition, as well as people who are wanting to grow in their own personal development.

Kate appreciates that it can be difficult to take the first step in seeing a psychologist. Her goal is to provide a space that is welcoming, non-judgmental and safe. She spends the time needed to understand her clients' unique experiences and challenges. She then tailors therapy to suit her clients' individual goals and needs. Kate infuses her sessions with hope, humour and storytelling. She explains evidence-based research in a way that is easy to understand and is relatable. Kate ensures that her clients walk away from their sessions with practical strategies that they can apply in their everyday lives.

Welcome

SERVICES

Online therapy is beneficial for women who prefer to attend their sessions from the privacy of their own home, office, or another location that is quiet and comfortable.

Here for you

In person therapy is a good option for women who want to access therapy from a neutral and private space that is away from their everyday lives.

Kate offers corporate and event speaking on a range of psychological topics. Please feel free to get in touch if would like her to create a presentation, attend a workshop, or speak on a specific psychological area.

Mental health is important.

Women are known for taking care of others, but it's also important to prioritise your own mental health and get support when you need it. A woman's mental health can be greatly affected by major life transitions, biological factors (e.g. pregnancy, motherhood, menopause), negative life experiences (e.g. miscarriage), unequal social and economic conditions and isolation. Therapy is designed to equip women with knowledge and practical strategies that are essential for mental health and wellbeing.
